My 75 year old mother had her hip resurfaced on 2 March. Whilst her recovery is supposedly going well her knee buckles on her unexpectedly and she has had two falls as a result of this buckling. She is now developing a real phobia about falling over and depression is starting to grip her.
She has an appointment with her surgeon but not till the 12 May. I am worried for her. Is this buckling normal? Does anyone else have any experience of this?
I live 600 kilometres away from her so its not a question of piling her in a car and taking her to the hospital for an earlier examination.
Would love to hear from anyone on this.
